RS-422/485 Converter/Isolators Increase the Range of RS-232 Data Signals Up to
1200m
Now you can convert RS-232 signals to full or half-duplex RS-422 or RS-485 to provide data communications
up to 1200m, with multi-drop capability. Transmit and receive RS-232 data signals at rates up to 115.2 Kbps.
You can have up to 32 transmitters and receivers sharing a two-wire balanced differential line. RS-485 can
also be operated in four-wire mode.
Optical isolation provides 2,000 volts between the sides and is transient protected on the RS-485 side.
Automatic Send Data Control automatically enables the RS-422/485 driver, so no software control is required.
Timeouts are selectable between 1 and 4ms via external dip switches. Other dip switches select RS-422 or
RS-485, and two-wire or four-wire operation.
The DIN rail case clips easily to standard track and is 3" x 4" x 1.5" thick. There are terminal block
connections for all wires. These converters require a DC power supply between 10VDC to 30VDC at 100mA.
