Overview
The DL-EIRSP1 is a single port, industrial Ethernet surge protector designed to protect all 8 lines used in a standard
CAT5e cable. The product is compatible with 10/100 BaseT networks and Power-over-Ethernet applications. Industry
Standard 802.11af allows two methods of implementing PoE: Mode A and Mode B. Mode A applies power to the data
pairs (pins 1/2 and pins 3/6). Mode B applies power to the unused pairs (pins 4/5 and pins 7/8). The EIRSP1 offers
protection for both PoE implementations. Network connections are made via standard female RJ45 connectors.
Grounding is accomplished via a ground lug capable of accepting a 14-gauge wire.
