Compact, In-line USB Port Isolation 

The UH401 family of USB Port Isolators is available in 4 kV or 2 kV versions. They are used to protect your expensive equipment from dangerous ground loops and to help ensure data integrity in electrically noisy environments.  The high retention USB connectors hold standard USB cables tight, requiring a minimum of 3.2 lbs.-force to disconnect them. These in-line devices come in several variations, including versions with 4 kV and 2 kV protection, Full Speed (12 Mbps) USB, and Low Speed (1.5 Mbps) USB. As with our other isolators, protection for High Speed (480 Mbps) is not supported due to industry wide limitations.

This product comes in several variations to fit your specific application. The UH401 and UH401SL provide 4 kV isolation. The only difference being that the UH401SL is made for Low Speed USB (1.5 Mbps). Similarly, the UH401-2KV and UH401SL-2KV provide 2 kV isolation at Full and Low speed. High Speed (480 Mbps) is not supported. Read our USB Isolation Tech note for additional details.

Since these are USB Port Powered devices, they will provide 100 mA of power to downstream devices. If you need a full 500 mA of downstream power, select our rugged UHR401 or UHR402 USB Port Isolators. A USB Cable is included.
